Privacy policy
Last updated: 2026-10-19
This policy explains what personal data is processed when you play guchipa.io, why, and what rights you have. It applies to the website guchipa.io and to the game when it is played on other websites (such as CrazyGames). It is written to meet the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, for visitors from the European Union, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. What we process and why
Connection data
To connect you to the game, your browser talks to our game server. The server necessarily sees technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the time of the connection. The game itself does not store IP addresses. Technical logs of the web server may contain IP addresses; they are used only to keep the service running and secure (for example against attacks) and are deleted after at most 14 days.
Game data
While you play, the server processes your nickname, your team, your position, size and score, and shows them to the other players in your arena. This data is not linked to your identity, not used for anything else, and is deleted when you leave the game. Please don't use your real name or other personal information as your nickname. Offensive names are replaced automatically.
Data stored on your device
The game remembers your last nickname, team, server choice and sound setting in your browser's local storage, so you don't have to enter them again. This stays on your device; only the nickname is sent to the server when you play. You can delete it at any time by clearing your browser data. The game itself does not set cookies.
No accounts, no analytics
There are no user accounts. We do not use analytics or tracking tools of our own.
3. Advertising on guchipa.io
The game is free and paid for by advertising. On guchipa.io, ads are provided by Google (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, and Google LLC, USA) through Google AdSense and Google's games ads. When ads are active, Google uses cookies and similar technologies to show ads, limit how often you see the same ad, measure results and prevent fraud. With your consent, Google may also personalise ads based on your interests.
Visitors from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for their consent through a consent message before personalised ads or advertising cookies are used. If you decline, you may still see ads that do not use personal data for personalisation ("limited ads"). You can change your choice at any time with the privacy settings link shown on the page.
More information: How Google uses data from sites that use its services and Google's privacy policy. Google may process data in the USA; Google is certified under the EU-U.S. and Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Frameworks.
As long as ads are not switched on, no advertising technology is loaded.
4. Playing on CrazyGames
If you play guchipa.io on CrazyGames, CrazyGames is responsible for the ads, accounts and cookies on its website, and CrazyGames' privacy policy applies to those. If you are logged in to CrazyGames, your CrazyGames username may be suggested as your nickname. Our game server receives the same game data described in section 2.
5. Where the data is processed
Our game servers are hosted by a hosting provider in the European Union (Germany or Finland) and the United States (Virginia), which processes data only on our behalf. When you open the game, your browser briefly contacts each game server to measure which one is closest to you, and you then play on that one (or on the one you choose in the menu). Advertising partners may process data in other countries as described in section 3.
6. Legal basis (for visitors from the EU)
- Running the game you asked to play: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
- Keeping the service secure and fair (technical logs, name filter): our legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
- Advertising cookies and personalised ads: your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, which you can withdraw at any time.
7. Children
The game is not directed at children under 13. In the EU, children under the age of digital consent in their country (13 to 16) need a parent's permission to agree to personalised ads. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
8. Your rights
You have the right to know what data we have about you and to ask for it to be corrected or deleted. You can object to processing and withdraw consent at any time. In the EU you also have the rights to restriction and data portability. Since we don't link game data to people, we may need information from you to find data that concerns you. Write to io.guchipa@gmail.com.
You can complain to a data protection authority: in Switzerland the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), in the EU the authority of your country.
9. Changes
We update this policy when the game or the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
